El Salvador Bakery II: Reviews & Ratings
The pupusas are great! Very tasty and full of filling! They are a little slow so I recommend calling your order in unless you have time to wait. We waited 30 minutes for 3 pupusas. The bakery items were okay, nothing special. The horchata and corn drink were also just okay. Will definitely be returning but only for the pupusas!
I had two pupusas, two tamales and a piece of tres Leche cake. The pupusas were amazing. Seriously, I've been dreaming about them. The tamales were good. The tres Leche was the best I've ever had. I went back three days later for another piece of cake on my way home. I'm pretty sure it was a slice from the same cake I had because it wasn't quite as good- seemed old. I did think it was odd for such a small bakery they put out a TON of product all at once. Even with that, I will definitely be back. I plan to get pupusas as often as I can and I will make my way through everything they sell in the bakery while I'm at it.
Great Salvadoran breakfast and pupusas! food is made to order, so it's definitely worth the wait. Simple layout inside, but cleanliness is on point.
Every pastry I got here was really yummy! I’d definitely recommend the custard one in the video—I also loved the pineapple one and the guava and cheese one. They even have Jamaican Sorrel drink, which was super refreshing! The staff was very nice, the prices were good, and I’d definitely visit again~
Came here with my family a few days ago and the food is great and for a very affordable price range. I will say that while it is spacious, I can definitely see this place getting super busy during lunch and dinner rush. The selections of bread is nice and varied, and there's even a small area for Salvadoran products that are not commonly found in stores like Talpa or Guadalajara (though those are admittedly closer to Mexican stores). Great place if you want a quick, cheap, and delicious treat!
Ok so we had to wait because they were slammed with to go orders aside from the dining in crowd. So we got a snack from the bakery to hold us over, I mean she told us it would be at least 20 min. When we got our food it was fresh hot and delicious, my son and he had 2 queso e pollo pupusa, I had a bean and queso and 2 tamal pollo. It was worth the wait ok, I'd rather have fresh delicious food and wait a bit longer. They have like chips and such you could also snack on. Now to the tamales I'm gonna have to say these were the best I've ever had. Yes still in the banana leaf strait from the broth. Soft and juicy tender but not a mess. I'm not Latin by any since of the word and I love tamales have had many delicious ones. But there was something so satisfying about it not being more like corn bread than something steamed. There's a middle ground too but that being said everything was so delicious even the slaw. Next time if we don't want to wait we order online and eat it there. Simple, simply delicious And even though we were the only non Hispanic ppl there which I see as a positive in terms of food, service was very friendly.
Amazing and delicious food! Nice prices as well. Been there twice in two weeks already!
Wanted to try this place for years.Stopped by for a quick dinner option, couldn’t understand the menu but the nice young ladies in the front had no problem explaining everything.Went with a chicken option very flavorful, fresh and delicious. Will return.
